AAdvantage Rewards Mall - GC able to be used for bonus points?

Does anyone know if Sears Gift Cards used in the AAdvantage Mall to purchase from sears will count towards bonus points earning?

I see that you can buy GC and receive 10 bonus miles but not sure if using them through the site will get you another 10 per $1 spent
