When you cover anything negative about their preferred "soccer team" (apologies for all sports fans, just using it as a reference) they take it very personal.

Some people take their politics very seriously. It's as if you touched the golden calf. No point in trying to get them to actually listen and read. You would get the same reaction if you did this with Fox from the other side. Most people are normal, though. Keep on going.

but put the 3 letters in the headline and it's bait for both sides of the political aisle, people feel like it's a story about the "Evil CNN/MSM lefties" and either cheer or boo it

I am hesitant to post specifics because I know that most people on DDF won't agree with everything I say.  A feeling is a feeling.  But whether you agree or disagree with my thoughts, the fact remains that enough people felt uncomfortable with the story being posted on DDMS to share their feelings in the comments (I was not one of those people).  If the whole purpose of posting the podcast was to lure in additional viewers, that goal may have been achieved.  If the purpose was to have fun, that goal seems to have been achieved.  If the goal was to spread k'vod shamayim, it is my personal opinion that the goal was not achieved.

The vast majority of the people who shared their negative feelings in the comments were upset because it was against CNN, AKA, they were uncomfortable with the (perceived) political aspect.
If your reasons are different, then the two issues are not relevant to each other.

OK. What interests me personally is how Velvel crushed the opponent, not so much how the opponent got crushed.
Velvel should be the subject, not CNN.

Just my feelings. Its a free world, just giving frank feedback.

Maybe write in the title "national media company" instead of CNN, as you said you would have done it if it was FOX, so maybe make the headline more neutral. (The headline sets the tone, once someone starts watching I don't think it matters so much that it happens to be CNN.)

Personally, the title didn't come across as demonizing CNN to me.
It's clear and is 100% true. The point of the title isn't to demonize.
It's true from the interview you come to understand that they aren't fans of CNN and their views etc, but that's not in the title.

So the question is, what kind of discount do you get for skipping a years-long appeals process?
25%? 50%? 75%?
