Plane which crashed near DC airport was carrying 64 people, including 4 crew members, according to emergency services. It's still unknown how many people were on board the Black Hawk helicopter.

Airplane was on approach to runway 1 they were asked to switch to runway 33 and they said they could do it... That is recorded

How far out where they? Too low for TCAS?

The US Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided with a passenger aircraft had a crew of three and was not carrying any VIPs, according to a US defense official.

Senior Army officials often use Black Hawks for travel in the Washington, DC, area.
