Question about Rental Car Coverage When Using Chase Points

If I book a rental car using Chase Ultimate Rewards points, how does that affect credit card rental coverage?

Do I need to provide my Chase card at pickup for coverage to apply?
Can I use my Amex with Premium Car Rental Protection instead?
Would Amex (or any other card) cover the rental if it was paid for with points?
Curious to hear from those who’ve dealt with this before. Thanks!

Amex Premium coverage kicks in when you charge a rental to your card, so I don't see how booking with Chase points will activate coverage.
