Well, can't argue with the inventor. However, since he put it in writing as GIF it doesn't really settle anything. Maybe if he would have used the French or Italian way of making a hard G by inserting a U in front of the I, it could be considered settled but by just writing it's pronounced JIF and not GIF it doesn't do much. China is already going back to work. This is a hysteria piece. There will not be a supply chain shortage maybe a reduction in inventories temporarily.

Don’t know where you get your info from, but many companies will be out of stock on many items, I personally know a bunch. About half of factories are now back to work but not at full capacity. Look at pollution and traffic levels, still nowhere near full capacity.

Correct but from where we were to where we are now any out of stock items will be back to normal really quickly unless there is a sudden spike again in China.

A lot of things won't go out of stock right away, shipments from China before CNY have just arrived, so we should be fine for now. But the goods that were supposed to be produced or shipped in February/March will be delayed a few months, we shouldn't be seeing the effects until April/May. Besides that, about half of air cargo is reliant on passenger planes, so airing goods will be both more expensive with extremely low capacity. To make it worse, ocean cargo volume is down around 30% from what I saw.
