He admitted to both bdS.That is not the issue at hand at all
There is no way you carefully read all of the internal b'd documents in such a short time. The internal documents clearly refer to his admission of guilt. (not to mention that you can call the CBD to hear it with your own ears if you want.) This is not disputed by anyone... Not sure who you are quoting though anyway. You want "formal and apology" -like on live TV??
Who said the allegations are true?
I'm not talking about this case, I'm talking about what goes on in most seminaries routinely where male teachers get way too comfortable with the girls. We don't have to wait for something to actually happen for it to be wrong.
This case is a one in a million.
Get real.
Okay, Chaim, you're right, adjust the number. What I meant is that stories of this degree are relatively rare.
If you know anyone involved that investigates these type of crimes you would be shocked how rampant this is. I am not talking about any particular religion or organization.
I think the Oilem here is discussing specifically Frum seminaries.
Let's not argue. Chaim's point is well taken and it would behoove all of us to realize that, yes, this stuff DOES happen. So was I, unfortunately...
True and it wouldn't happen (out would happen to a WAY lesser degree) if people realised that the Halachos of yichud apply not only to the common folk but to rabbis and teachers too (and to girls' teachers to a much stricter degree).
+10000000000000Yichud ain't no joke, folks.I love when people say, "But nothing HAPPENED!" Oh yeah? Do you eat chicken and milk? No? Why not? It's just a rabbincal safeguard to eating real bosor b'cholov!
If you read the news and aren't blind, you recognize the brilliance of the Chachamim qua the laws of yichud. They completely understood human nature. They were prescient in their observations. Their brilliance never stops amazing me
Unfortunately Rabbeim should not be teaching in girls schools. It's sad, but true. It's a shame because many of the better teachers are usually the Rabbis.
When I was in Kollel we were learning Hilchos Yichud, our Rosh Kollel told us that a Shliach on a campus once asked him to give a Shiur for his students. he offered to give a Shiur on Yichud and the Shliach looked at him as if he fell off the moon (these are college students...) so he told him to market it as "protecting yourself in the workplace", it was successful beyond the Shliach's wildest dreams...
Teaching would be OK the problem is that in most seminaries it goes beyond simple teaching...
