I was actually involved in a similar collision. The 2 drivers were brother-in-law and sister-in-law, random crash in Lakewood. B"H no one was seriously injured.

The one thing I remember from a defensive driving course, was that we were first required to introduce ourselves to each other. The logic being that accidents between people that know each other are less likely.
