I don't know who you were hanging around with, but my experience is that whenever an Israeli sees a water filter they say
אבל אתה נוטל המינרלים הטובים

Haven't heard that, but definitely outside US there's a preference for mineral water, while the American palate seems to prefer water without much minerals.

I had a feeling that would be what you would take out of it. I took out of it that once the "teams" are stripped on the issues themselves many "liberals" are really somewhat conservative.

Th edifference is that what I am describing could have happened without swapping the genders. The result would be the same no matter which gender argued each side as long as they didn't have a D or R after their fictional names.
