She got sympathy - they offered a new dish on the house. Definitely would not be sympathetic to a lawsuit. If the ENTIRE establishment was billed as vegetarian, and it wasn't a simple mistake, that's a different story.

No. it is not a reasonable assumption to assume there will be no ingredient mixups in a restaurant not billed as vegetarian, kosher or hallal

No. Same if there is an allergic reaction. That is why products say made in a factory with..... and even more so in a fast food joint. If someone is really allergic to milk don't buy eggs in a breakfast joint.
