If you're talking about needing a luxury car before this whole shtick, the math can work out (which is what I meant when I said 'paying a lot for your car to start with'). But if your total cost for a lease+insurance is, say $300, you're not coming out ahead doing this. The miles side of it is nice, but you can't truly deduct that from the calculation unless you're literally selling those miles (in which case you're not valuing them at 2cpm).
Plenty of people pay for a luxury car. I think cost is higher than $300 on average for lease+insurance+maintenance. Also don't pay for tax+title+license. I think you are making it out to less than the actual.
And disregarding all that, most people here would pay $780 for 150K MP. In that case, he got a great deal on miles and got free car to boot
