I can't see how there is place for anything like this in a liberal democracy. Police seizing private property with the only evidence being an apparent lack of ability to afford it? Almost certainly unconstitutional in the US. Maybe the article isn't clear enough about what the justification for the seizure is.

I totally get it.I personally wouldn't do it with the dangers involved (maybe id I didn't have a wife and kids) but I understand what drives these people.
is the part that makes it difficult to understand. I was into a mildly dangerous sport with a very low fatality rate and I stopped soon after I got married. It didn't involve very hard work and super cooperative weather conditions to stay alive.
