We don't shop at IKEA. But if we did, we would not have this problem.  DW would go to the store and make all of the purchasing decisions by herself and upon arrival home would hand the purchases off to me to assemble - by myself.

Here's what I find strange - clearly, they all found seats not next to women (or the flight would never have taken off). So why would that cause chaos at 30,000 feet?

There's certainly a market demand for airlines that fly direct to Israel to be accommodating of what chareidim want.  My understanding is the airlines just don't respect us, and figure we don't have a choice of who to fly anyway.

People respected other people's religion and opinions 20-30 years ago.  These days, if you have different opinions than someone, they'll boycott you or worse.
