In what might sound a little counterintuitive, I would guess that if those same passengers would have paid a lot more (as in over $1,500) for their tickets, they would act a lot more politely.

I have seen numerous people politely request to be moved next to someone of the same gender and it has almost always worked. Would you want your daughter sitting next to Trump on a plane?
