I’m fed up seeing the internet used time and again to publicize this chillul Hashem and that chillul Hashem. It seems like no one can pass up an opportunity to publicize a chillul Hashem and let the whole world know that it was an epic chillul Hashem, bigger than ever.
It’s like everyone is a self-appointed chillul Hashem expert and publicist.
“THE BIGGEST CHILLUL HASHEM EVER IN KALAMAZOO,” a headline will scream, encouraging everyone to express outrage.
Did anyone ever think about whether this is acceptable? Is it recommended? Is it appropriate to constantly yell about chillul Hashems? Did anyone ask a competent rov if there is a mitzvah to broadcast whenever one thinks something is a chillul Hashem?
Is it a kiddush Hashem to publicize a chillul Hashem?
Could it be that screaming about a chillul Hashem can itself sometimes be a chillul Hashem? Did anyone ever think of that?
