Or rather they were exercising their rights?
If a cop says I wanna search around your office to see if I could find wrongdoing would you comply without a warrant?
So if Walmart decides to sell an item at a loss, are they exercising their rights, even though it will put small mom-and-pop stores that can't compete with them out of business?
Besides for everything else, what Uber allegedly did here was
circumventing the law take the law into their own hands* in a way only they are able to, due to their deep pockets.
*even if it was initially designed in order to avoid doing business with people that violate the T&C, does that make it legal or morally OK to take the law into your own hands, and punish such a person by deceiving them? Using it to deceive law enforcement, is another step. If you don't like the laws, work to get them changed! As long as they're on the books, everyone needs to abide in a level playing field!
