I was wondering if this would be worth reading, as my experience with both airlines (mostly in Y) didn't leave me with any expectations for surprises.

My reaction after reading is thinking about American (which they called "the new American" post bankruptcy) was that when it comes to that airline the saying "plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose" rings as true as ever.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

JetBlue mint is way better then American, but they only have it on a few routes so they can pay more attention to it... Not such a valid comparison..... but as a flyer mint is way better

I've never flown JetBlue mint. Nor can I recall when was the last time I flew domestic long-haul. Even in Y the choice is a no-brainer (and even an FLL over MIA choice is a no-brainer).

not quite a comparison as he flew domestic first on aa and mint on JetBlue which competes with the lie-flat business and first that aa flies in some domestic markets

Seems like he flew “domestic” J/F, which obviously doesn’t compare to B6 J.
I’d like to re-read the article when he flies on a true AA transcon / Flagship F, and for those AA also only has a few routes (less then B6 possibly).

True he said he didn't have lie flat, so it wasn't even supposed to a nice business class. He Should've realized that so I'm not sure why he wrote an article comparing apples to oranges

Isn't that exactly his point? On the same route, AA had what they pass off as first and b6 managed to get real first.
AA and united manage to do real first on transcon flights, and I hate that they don't offer it on any other domestic routes. I hope JetBlue forces them to up their game.
