Based on the article, he did, though that's Isreali media, so we know how reliable that is. For Branson it's good PR to let him have it (though I doubt whether that would even cover TLV and LHR fees).

Looking back at the video I tend to agree with your assessment, as Branson doesn't do a handshake with him. Also looking back at the article there seem to be other inaccuracies (amazing how they manage that in such a short article).
