Amazon told the Journal that 99% of the reviews on its site were authentic and says Fakespot can’t tell this because they don’t have access to Amazon’s proprietary data.
Utter nonsense, I can attest to the fact that most reviews are fake. I know someone who has been receiving "mysterious" packages from Amazon for a few years now, stuff that she never ordered and most of the time pure junk and sure enough a glowing "review" by the "verified purchase" shows up.... Pathetic!
Also if the 5 star reviews seem too professionally written, they should be ignored.
