If a store owner wants to have a dress code that's his or her own choice. I'm more concerned with how they treat someone if they walk in NOT dressed according their dress code.

I don't think it's a smart thing to do but I believe they are entitled to do it.

Now when they stick signs up in the middle of the street that is a whole other story.

Seems silly. No one ever heard of no shirt no shoes no service. That's ancient why is this any different? Calling it unamerican is just ignorant. If I had a store I wouldn't have signs like that, but it is within the store owners right to make that choice and I see where they are coming from.

Definitely interesting though I imagine this girl will never become frum now that she sees it as a grueling set of rules. I wish she would have done this experiment with guidance from a frum rabbi.

She seems like a smart enough kid. I don't think that will hold her back if it's what she wants one day.

Amazing story! If she would be as open as she sees herself, maybe she will keep some of the mitzvos that she tried out.

It is a different religion when you keep something by choice or because Hashem commanded us. In the words of Rav Meir Kahana "that is not Judaism, it is Bernyism, Goldbergism etc."
