Selling 1/600th of amazon revenue has no connection to participating in 1/600th of their sales.

If they sell higher priced items than the amazon average, they could be selling 1/800th, 1/1000th or whatever their real numbers are.

I don't think that's accurate. You don't count sales by the number of transactions, you count sales by the amount sold.

Yup, wasn't paying attention, was trying to make the same point you made. PG could still make a similar point even from a pure $ sales perspective but the responses people have made would still apply and likely explain the numbers a little better.

only what you sell as a principal (ie owner of the goods) are included in the sales figure, what they make on commission selling as an agent is not included in sales revenue.
