Aha. So a few people on a somewhat anonymous forum make distasteful jokes and you denigrate an entire ethnicity based on it. Textbook racism. I'm sure the Pope is proud. (last line was sarcasm.)

What was shocking was seeing certain members thinking it was OK to post such things.

Look CV, I'm not stupid, and I get that maybe you think my posts are "hate"
But I very much echo YitzyS' outlook where we have respect for upstanding moral people of faith.
I'm not a expert jewish theologian, so I have no idea how much heaven a more or less observant Critstian gets for basically observing 6ish of the Noahide laws, but theres something.
I do know that Maimonides (I believe) explains that the monotheism spread throughout the world by both Critsianity and Isalm (as opposed to polytheism) is a needed step in the progress of the world towards the coming of the Messiah.

On the other hand... The church as an ideology, an institution and the leadership roles thereof... are a very different story.

Moreover - my 'hate' towards this recently departed pope is limited to online posts. Being that he personally did nothing bad towards me, I harbor no animosity towards him. If I would have seen him trip in the street, I would run over to help him stand up again. (Which I would NOT do to a read Jew-hater, like Al Sharpton etc.)

I am merely making jokes about him after his passing. I would not do that towards someone I respect. I don't have any specific respect towards him, as his prominence stems from his position as the head of an organization with oceans of blood on its hands.

So to sum it up honestly, it's not hate, it's just no respect.

Yes, Jews and catholics DO HAVE a different meaning for hate. For Jews, hate means slander, gossip, and printing negative things about another religion. For catholics, hate means murder, pogroms, and gas chambers.

You fail to see/understand what the church is. For millennia, from the very beginning of the church, it has been a persecutor, oppressor and murderer of jews. Ideologically. For Centuries.
