Because there is a limit how much you can receive a day.

I know it says there's a limit but I've gotten more than $2k on my personal account and it's posted right away.
I can't figure out any pattern as to why it happens that sometimes it's in my account immediately and other times not.

How come sometimes a payment received will take a day or two to post in my account and sometimes it goes automatically? The smaller amounts always go in right away.
I'm not 100%  sure,  but I think it had something to do with if it's coming from a chase account,  or a 3rd  party bank.

Don't you have to have a Chase account to do Chase Quick pay?

No, but you can only send after a request from a Chase account holder.

Don't you have to have a Chase account to do Chase Quick pay?
Nope.  Only one person needs to have a chase account -  either the sender or the receiver.

Ok, so all my payments received have been from Chase accounts. If anyone has any idea of how they decide which money gets help and which deposits immediately I'd be interested in knowing.

We’re still processing the payment to PREMIER PLUS CKG (...); however, the funds are immediately available and are included in your available balance.

Why would this occur? I usually either have to wait if it's from a non Chase account or it says they are deposited and the funds are there.
What does this mean?

Why should they? Chase is not giving you the money. Another person is.

Found this online, phew.

"Chase Bank does not issue 1099-K's  for QuickPay transactions.  These are considered account-to-account transfers by Chase."

Paypal issues them.

That's only for money that you received for goods and services, right? Is there a 1099 for friends and family transfers?

Same. Though I always heard that it's 200 transactions or $20k. Never saw that it was both.

Anyone know if StubHub would send me a 1099 directly if they pay me via PayPal, or is it PayPal's responsibility?
