I'm just saying that from knowing the crowd 5k is no big deal more to start taking surveys, that's something else

I'm more than thrilled that I get to go to a seminar and it's free! $10 to Tzedakah makes sense to me, as ppl take things more seriously when the pay for it... If you haven't been following that's what anyone signing up to go to a DD seminar had to do to get a reservation...

Ok, someone called my bluff?  :-[ :P Lets back up, there are 5k ppl that may be interested, that is a pool of guys in the Mir plus/minus with other Yeshivas, other Americans in Yerushalayim and in Har Nof. There are all these 'hoods where DDF'ers and others live.

IMHO Dan is not looking to make an event for 5k, I guess more like 500 would be more than enough. You tell me, ok?  8)

Either way, the target audience is pashut omed umechakeh. It may be that there is some other issue here. Can anyone clarify? Rav Dan, can you share your input?

JJ, I missed this part of your post. Lemaase, what do you say, in real numbers? Should we make a poll here to see how many guys want to come? Is 300 enough?

I have no idea what's enough and I can't speak for Dan obviously. But going from 5,000 to 500 to 300 isn't very reassuring.

But as a data point, there was 200-450 an hour flight away, I imagine a 10 hour flight should get 10X that, Simple math :P

I doubt it'd happen under 1,000.

1,000 people is not a big deal at all (heck, I have that many people harassing me with their questions every week). Especially not if it can be done in 2 seminars of 500, or 3 of 300-350.
