Yes.  They said it can hold 115.

115 @ Nossn's shul will be significantly more crowded than 115 at CChovevei.

You think you're going to get more than 115 people? Really?
No clue.  There were over 150,000 visits to main DD.com site from NYC last month.  How many would be interested in actually hearing me speak I have no clue.

The problem with Chovivei is that it's underground so no cell/4G service if I want to demo something like an award booking or using ITA.  Of course with powerpoint I can just do that stuff beforehand and put it on a slide I guess.

Practical question, is it going to be mixed, separate seating (mechitza?), or Men only? Are they taking into acount all 115 people being able to see a screen/projector?
115 @ Nossn's shul will be significantly more crowded than 115 at CChovevei.
True but free is free... Maybe we can do Nosson's shul with RSVP for like 90 people and if there is a big demand or it works out well we can do chovevei a different time... Or if the RSVP gets over 115 well revert to chovevei.

Doesn't really matter as long as there is VZW 4G service.

115 is still a lot.  Look how many active NYC DDF'ers we have (which are the most active folks) and how few have been to a DO.
People have other commitments  and/or are lazy or just don't want to be bothered.

CMIIW but I think you're trying to attract a very different crown than a DO.

If you advertise on the main site that you will be teaching how to accumulate tons of miles and get statuses and free stuff etc, I think many more people would be interested than the amount of people that were interested in going to a restaurant to meet and greet other forum members.

Of course, but still most people won't want to be bothered from their daily routines and/or have to get to wherever the seminar would be.

Let me just say this. I was in 770 and @ my table we got into a discussion about the whole mile thing. Alot of guys were shocked how easy it is to get miles. And when I mentioned that Dan was looking to do a seminar, they started looking for a place to make it happen. Which led to the invitation from nossons shul, so I would assume you would have a decent amount of bochurim.
P.s. nossons shul recently renovated so it is larger but still very narrow

This begs the question:

Will you (Dan) be spending most of the time on beginner's stuff? Like what is a credit report? What is a hard/soft inquiry? etc etc?

I'd imagine the content would be geared to a beginner/intermediate level.
Advanced DDF users won't really be the target market of the seminar.
