I dont think I am able to make it this time but since you are having rsvp's and will have a list of people who are attending and I assume their emails, you should email the participants to submit questions beforehand for the q & a. Dan, I have no doubt you can handle the questions on the fly but the questions tend to be much better when they are pre submitted. Otherwise you end up with a lot of questions that are specific to the person asking and not too many other ppl.

@Dan - As you said that there probably will be future Seminars.
I hope you will make one in Lakewood, as I would like to go to this one, but its a little difficult to make it...

Yes. Why can't people understand that it's in a synagogue and that synagogue can decide whatever they want. If the synagogue decides that anyone attending must wear a tie then yes you must or don't come.

Thats what I am referring to.

I think everyone know that Dan is Jewish and that typically we dont make mixed events and that most of the people are going to be men, so for a first time event it should be self understood the reason for men only, especially that it has been mentioned that there (probably) will be future events for women too ...

So whats all the rage??

I have a feeling the majority of the ppl complaining are non-frum/MO Jews. Non-Jews seem to understand and respect religious beliefs. Jews always want to make a big deal out of it. Anyone remember the whole Maccabeats fiasco?

This isn't a bad idea... except instead of emails, you may want to post your (somewhat detailed) outline on DDF and ask for suggestions from the people who will be attending, if you're up for it.

I like that idea. Maybe a sticky until the event (or permanent one for future events). It will encourage a lot of DD only ppl to DDF.
