White noise might help.

I'm also aware of high end products on the market that can distort/block audio recording. But I doubt anyone of us own such a thing (it's sold and used for private investigators)

The point of a 3bm is to minimize the amount of inquiries. 

Applying for cc's with 3 different banks on the same day is referred to here as an app-o-rama. When doing an app-o-rama, most of us will apply for at least 2 or 3 from each bank to maximize each inquiry.

+1, It's long been recommended to have all inquires done on the same day. That's part of the AppORama trick too, to get as many apps in on the same day.
