Would you like me to reach out to the shliach there? The wife is a kotlarsky... Soooo nice! And they were/are very involved in the recovery... Although it could be they don't have time to plan something like this now...
If you'd like.

As an outsider when I or someone else say we are going to visit NYC we sure as h*ll are not talking about Brooklyn (no offense).
You mean you're going to visit that section of NYC... :P
As someone who lives in New York, when I say I am going to the city, I am only referring to Manhattan. Bothers my wife (not from NY) to no end. Makes it seem like Manhattan is the only city in the world. Also, I avoid Brooklyn like the plague. Only go for funerals, cheap meat and Pardes. Lets do it in Manhattan or maybe in Queens/Bronx...
Thoughts?
"the city" like I said.

Plague?  Strong language, is it that bad?  Or is it just a paranoia?
Ok so I'm assuming when you mail something to bk you place nyc on the envelope for city?? And when you place an address into a Gps you put nyc as the city?? I didn't think so. True theoretically bk is part of nyc but not in e/o's terms.
You can't judge anything from mail, and here's why.  All that matters are zipcodes, as city you can put whatever you'd like (though writing something inaccurate may slow down the delivery), yes even NYC.  Many neighbourhoods in the five boroughs put down their neighborhood as 'city', you can put Borough Park, NY, Riverdale, NY, Cambria Heights, NY etc etc.. these are very common.  Is Riverdale it's own city?  Last I checked it was in the Bronx..  but people do write Riverdale, NY.  Perhaps it's because it's the largest city in the US, so dividing it postal-wise makes it easier.  However I know the same sort of thing happens in Miami, there are areas in Miami which  mail is sent names of neighborhoods as the 'city'.

Re. GPS, mine has actually many times  automatically put an address in Brooklyn as NY, NY.

Lets do it in Manhattan or maybe in Queens/Bronx...

Or maybe somewhere in the Five Towns and do it as a fundraiser for hurricane Sandy. I think that would be a fantastic idea. So many people/shuls/schools were destroyed. Charge a small admission fee, have a raffle of items and all the money goes the help rebuild after Sandy.  I am sure you will get a very large and receptive crowd. I would love to help organize.

Thoughts?
I hope this doesn't come out sounding cruel (please, don't hit me), but a fundraiser for hurricane Sandy victims bla bla sounds all nice and rosy, but why the need to make a DD seminar into a fundraiser?  My hearts go out to all the victims..................., but.. (see above).

I.e. I like things that are free, to stay free ;)  (Proud DDFer! :) )

Online means no audience questions and no secrets being spilled.
If an org wants to bring me out to speak they know where to find me.

Dan
What happened with the org in NY that I had them reach out to you by email?
Do you think you can do a seminar with them?
Thank you
