Not since I closed it.
I think 350 is a good size, don't really want to try for more than that.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I know...it was hard enough last year with less than half that crowd.

Not quite sure how I'll handle the questions this time around.  Suggestions from those who were there last year?

I say have people send in Q's before the seminar so, if something is asked by many people you can for sure cover it.

IMO it won't help. People want to ask their question.

Limit the number of questions per slide to x?

It won't solve the problem of how the q&a's should work, but it should help in the sense that he can cover common questions in the presentation.

Well, if Dan explicitly answers the question, most people won't ask them again.
But then again, only most. ;)

With almost 400 people you'll never finish if you're stopping in middle for questions.

Limit the number of questions per slide to x?
I think a limited number of questions AFTER (see above) each topic makes sense. (I doubt 1 slide = 1 topic)

It's like the guys in a shiur that ask the "what if" questions.

They find any reason under the book that their question is different.

IMO it won't help. People want to ask their question.
If 10 people ask the same question Dan can say this was asked by {insert names here}. And this was it is a lot more efficient.

2 Major problems of last years seminar was:

1. Too many questions on every topic discussed. Yes we can talk about each topic for hours and keep learning new stuff, but the point is to cover many topics. Maybe make a 2 question per topic limit.

2. Many people asked very specific questions about their own applications, credit score, experience booking tickets, ad nauseum. Be sure to clarify even during the Q&A that they must be questions everyone can gain from. Also be sure to tell people if it gets to specific or complicated you will have to move on to the next person.

this is what they do at many halacha events. It works because the stupid/selfish Q are weeded out and you can pick usefull questions and prepare better, not waste time understanding the questions. It is their questions, they can email them in...
