I registered last night after 11PM (Dan reopened the registration because there were people that did not complete their registration with paypal). I was online until about 12:30AM and did not receive an instruction email then. I received the email this morning and immediately did the paypal. I looked on the main site before I did the paypal and it still showed that it was open. Now it shows it was closed at 11AM. That post was not on the site at 11 - more like 11:45 after I made the payment.

Sounds to me like you should be good.
I believe the "closed" you are referring to is new applicants, not that it's too late for last night's applicants to finish the process.

It's not an automated process, somebody is manually matching up donations to reservations etc. it all takes time. Have a little patience...

No, I am not good. I got an email saying that I didn't get in even though I made the paypal donation.

As an intermediate, I would like to request that you spend a fair amount of time on how to find award travel. Since the seminar was sold out fairly quickly, I think it is safe to say that your most devoted chassidim took advantage. That being the case, it is doubtful that there will be many beginners. Therefore, and I admit that I am speaking for myself, I would appreciate it if the seminar was geared to an intermediate/advanced audience. Finding award travel is my challenge at the present time. Thank you.

That is some very interesting logic. I have no clue what "devoted chassidim have to do with filling up quickly? Plus it didn't fill up so fast as many people reserves and never paid... Either way its was advertised for begginers even if there is 1 begginer I feel Dan would be bound to give it on a begginer level. Fact is the majority are for sure beginners IMHO

+1, altough it still has to be on a beginners level, just because it's advertised  so.

80-90% are probably beginners. This was geared towards the DD crowd, which is below n00b level.

As the wiki shows, the DDF crowd is relatively small.

I, even though im ashamed ;) , will admit that i am a beginner. Not only that, but i am coming with about 10 others who are beginners as well. So your logic didn't work out this time. Sorry.

Can't experts just come to learn on DDF?
Why don't you just post your question in the right thread and you'll get a answer

I'm a DDFer yet only starting out. Maybe next time he can do that.
