Hyatt alternative Italy
« on: May 07, 2025, 03:33:28 PM »
This is specifically to talk about hotels that would be practical with the points.

I'm a Hyatt junkie and while planning a trip to Italy this summer, discovered there's almost no Hyatt in Italy

What's my alternative (Rome, Milan, Florence ) I can transfer from Chase or Amex but I don't have any status except for basic credit cards at Marriott & IHG.

Lots of Mr and Mrs Smith options in Italy, which are bookable via Hyatt- rates are generally slightly better than if you would book via CSR at 1.5.

I saw that but I don't understand a couple of things. First of all, what kind of  rewards to you acure? Second of all, do they honor globalist ?

Milan has a really nice Park Hyatt

Thinking of flying into Rome Sunday, arrive Monday, stay 2 nights. Wednesday drive to terra di setta winery in Tuscany, maybe spend night in Florence. Thursday Florence then drove to cantina guliana near pisa. Thursday night is a gap, maybe night Livorno ? Friday Livorno, pisa, Milan . Shabbat Milan, Sunday fly to Spain .

I know I'm trying to grab a lot. Would rent in Rome return car in Milan

Any cities along the way i want to stop at ?
I could attempt the trip backwards start in Milan end in Rome with Shabbat in Rome

Advice please 🙏

Florence, Milan, Rome, and Venice (nearby island) all have Hyatt's, not including Mr & Mrs Smith - https://www.hyatt.com/explore-hotels/map?categories=1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Yeah although it's limited and I was thinking of not using the park Hyatt for Shabbat, I don't think I would truly appreciate the experience, so maybe it makes sense to switch my trip around

Although I see now that American doesn't fly direct from Miami to Milan
