dealsphotog , bought 2 passes from him and there were expired. BEWARE. Showed up at the airport and ended up paying the full price.

For some reason no one understands these passes are voided the second you cancel your card not a week later not the day after. Immediately.

Is there any way to check if a pass is still valid/hasn't been used, or is one just trusting the seller?

By logging in to their United account, (or a screenshot) if it doesn't show there, it means it's not valid anymore.

I was not aware of the fact that the passes gets invalid once the card is cancelled. I wish there was a way to show whether the pass is currently valid via online. I had no intentions of selling an invalid pass had I knew before.
I have already apologized @midnyite for the inconvenience and refunded him the complete amount. Lessons learnt.
