I agree to Dan, US Airways is kind of an embarrassment to the *A and humans in general....

I've looked a bit into this promo, and it stinks....

The long wait to receive the miles, means no guinea pigs, but a possibility of people losing on this gamble big time.

With the us free silver status promo which dan posted I took advantage and flew a lot with U.S I was never denied an upgrade from lowly silver and had a great experience with them.

I'm in on this one big!

There are enough of the diehards on FT who researched this and are confident of it working to ensure that the risk is rather low. Anyone do more than $10,000? I like the idea of donating all of the TIB merchandise to charity in order to receive a tax deduction. If you see a TIB package on the brochure at your Yeshiva's upcoming Chinese Auction you know where it came from

I am in for 2,5 mil. Nothing should go wrong. The purchases have posted on time. 700 USD for 100000 is amazing for the star alliance award chart

Nobody will know for sure until March 1 when the bonuses post but it's pretty clear that US Air will give what people are expecting.

I'm in for a conservative 500K, and even that only because I'm hoping AMEX Starwood and Chase Sapphire return protection will cover the $3,700 of track-it-backs.

Dan, I see no reason why it should not work. All conditions are met. I think this was the best deal (besides mint) to get miles.

Same reason why other promos and price mistakes in the past have gone through problems getting posted. The company does the math and realizes just how much it will cost them to honor.
I'm just not counting my chickens before they hatch.

Sure, but there are people who have "invested" over $100,000 in this deal...seems like that's just asking for trouble.
