Out of curiosity, how much is the referral?

Less than the raise. Enough to buy a decent car.

At my firm, the referral fee is the same amount as the raise. My firm hasn't raised yet, though we expect it this week. If not, I may just pm Henche.

smart people dont. switching and having to get all the new people to like u ain't worth 15-20k, and if you are really good at a biglaw firm, you will get compensated by your firm if you ask for it (even if they arent officially market for all in your year).

I'm not aware of any yeshiva day school that isn't a 501c3.

So if by privately owned, you mean an independent org and not controlled by a larger org, that doesn't bother me.
I'm confused. What does he mean by privately owned - if there is excess cash who gets the cash? Can the "owner" just award himself a larger salary? What oversight is involved in create a 501c3 (not much according to John Oliver)?

How do you know what all your friends dentists make? Is that something you talk about regularly with your friends?

I see that only 84% of Cardozo graduates of 2015 are employed -- 54 Cardozo graduates of 2015 do NOT have a job.
Is there any word or direction on numbers of unemployed 2016 graduates, yet? I haven't seen much info online, yet.

Would "Yes"  have been more thought provoking?

Seems that the only ones that dont have "'tude"s here are the ones studying for the Bar and who know all there is to know about the practice of law because they are OCD about published statistics.

See below.

looks like $40K according to the article, because they'll only give you the add'l $5K after you pass the bar. Can't even cover basic rent and one child's tuition on that program. Not looking great for a 3 yr. Cardozo law school graduate.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.
