Do u officially have to report every school I went to? Even those that I did not use for my undergrad degree?
Is it a big deal if I leave one out? Gpa wise it will hurt me to add it

GPA is determined by LSAC, on the basis of all the credits you earned until you got your first 4-year degree.

You need to follow the rules precisely, and keep the applications so that you can have your bar applications match it precisely, and then if you ever apply for a govt job, have that application match it precisely.

Does anyone here have any experience regarding an unaccredited school?
Am I required to report it to LSAC?
Does it even get factored in to my GPA?
Does it make any difference that they are accredited now-years after I’ve been there?
Thanks again all for your help.

I got my BTL a couple of years ago I then graduated Touro with a BS in accounting.
My GPA on my BTL is not to good but my GPA in Touro is 3.96. Touro transferred 48 yeshiva credits onto my degree but it doesn’t factor in to their GPA. Will I have to factor those credits in when I apply to Law School?? Or worse will I have to show my full BTL too?

You have the send LSAC all of your transcripts. So, yes they will see your BTL GPA.

Also, the school you end up attending may (I know mine did) require an official transcript from each undergraduate institution.

Sadly, iirc, they use only the credits (from all schools) until you got your first undergraduate degree.

A good article that answers some of the questions from this thread regarding LSAC's gpa calculation.

So basically only my BTL matters?

In regard to LSAC GPA it seems so.
You would only have to send in transcript from schools you were in prior to receiving your BTL (or First Talmudic Degree If you are in New York State).
However, you can and should put your other degree, as well as your GPA from there, on your resume.
The GPA the school will report in their admissions report will presumably be the one from your BTL so that would probably hold more weight.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

That does not sound fair, but W's need to be reported with an explanation of why you withdrew.

possibly excellent recommendation letters will be helpful in certain situations.
What would you say makes an excellent recommendation letter?
