-If you plan on using public transportation, get an Oyster card. They are much cheaper and easier to use than conventional travel cards, and never expire. They can be bought in many stores in London, or online. These days one can use contactless credit cards instead of Oyster.(Check here to see if your foreign contactless card will work.)

-Here is a handy planner for the public transport system.

-DD's Kosher Sandwiches can be bought in most major airports and stations and at some supermarkets around London.  Check here for a list of locations.

-Kosher in the West End/City -

Would love to see a proposed Thursday morning-Tuesday morning itinerary doable with a 2 and 4 year old :)
As I tell everyone who asks, what do you have interests in seeing? Then we can decide if your kids can handle it. Museums? Studio tours? 10-hour full day bus tours? I know you're not a huge tour person, but you've gone on some, so I don't know which ones you like and which you don't.

60 pounds (and probably a "3")
Yikes! That's a lot. Not that I have a baby yet, but Uber wouldn't pick me up after trying 7 times (and accepted and then rejected twice). I wonder if a Black Cab would have been cheaper?

If the driver would have notified uber of the incident, I would have been billed $200+ (and the driver would have gotten half :) )

Really? I didn't know Uber has a cleaning fee, though it makes sense for all the kids and drunks that throw up in cars.

Yup. That's why I offered to pay. If driver then claims the fee in addition I'll tell him off for telling me to give him cash :)

Would love to see a proposed Thursday morning-Tuesday morning itinerary doable with a 2 and 4 year old :)
So I just did a weekend in London with my wife and 2 young kids -
This is what we did (and wanted to)-  hope it helps you...

Thursday:
Changing of the guards at Buckingham palace
Walk through park to Whitehall / horse guards
London eye (Big Ben) / sea life aquarium

Friday:
Tower of London / tower bridge

Sunday:
Wax museum / harrods

With a little more time we would have went to Harry Potter - but truthfully my kids are not old enough. (Same for the dungeons )

We bought one of the packages from marvel for the London eye/wax museum/ aquarium and can also add dungeons and shreck- I think you save money this way...
And we asked one of the workers at the fast track of the London eye of be can let us through - and he did!
So guess it doesn't hurt to try...

We stayed at family in gg- so can't help much with hotel or restaurants
We are at maxim (dairy )- but wasn't overly impressed with it.
Actually enjoyed the homey food in hotel/restaurant in Stamford hill (forgot the name right now)

Also, was introduced to a very interesting car rental by hour company-
Check out drivenow.com.eu
May be useful for some..

We got around mostly by underground (or uber once) and was very easy to learn and use.
Also did lots of walking as we had amazing weather b"h

Had a great trip !

There used to be a hotel/restaurant on Clapton Common (across from the Lubavitch boys school) called Kadima. Is that the one?

I stayed at Hyatt regency Churchill for shabbos and davened at marble arch. Hotel is pretty worn and tired. Andaz seems much nicer.
Shabbos downtown is great. Can walk around and see Buckingham palace, Hyde park, etc. Although we were without kids. I guess with kids there would be no maalah.
Ordered food from just kosher.co.uk
Food was good to my recollection. We spent about 80 euro and probably had enough food to feed 5
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

No idea, haven't paid attention to see of it was there since about 7 years ago. I wrote "used to" because I thought maybe they changed their name.
