He is never by himself at all in a queue. The parents stand with the child in the queue til he goes into the session, and even then, they are right outside, watching him, and he can see them almost all the time.

Also the staff are all trained to work with children, and I found majority of them to be very enthusiastic and loving what they do. Remember the place was created for kids to be feel like adults and they do that really well.

Pricewise, its pretty much the same as any amusement park but here you're spending time in a much more educational and classy environment. Also it's right in middle of a very nice mall so your wife can come and go to the shops as she pleases.

I went there with children ranging from 4 to 8 and they loved every second.

Yup, that's what I think I'll do. I trust they've looked into the situation on the ground.

We ate at Ruebens. I didn't personally research but an English friend I trust did and said it was fine.

The Golden tour seems like a rip-off. Basically charging £80 to go to their bus stop to be driven there. A door-to-door Uber would be the same price.
Or a train+shuttle would be a small fraction of that.
Plus with Uber you could go right to GG afterward for dinner.
The price of the Golden tour with transport is not £80/person. It's £63/person for adults, £20/4-year old for transport only, and free for 2 and under.

We stayed at the Park Tower which is only a mile walk from Victoria station, so we just walked.

Uber from the Park Tower shows £32-£43 just for transport each way

Studio tickets without transport at £33 each

So if you took uber for £75 round trip, plus £66 for tickets you're looking at £141 total. If you did Golden tours it's £146. Obviously Uber can be higher, especially if it's super trafficy, so let's just say it's about even.

Another thing to consider is that officially the Studios is outside of Uber's pickup area for London, so you may not be able to call one to pick you up. It's pretty rural, so there may not be any around. I also didn't see any cabs lying around. People either seem to drive or take the bus from either the train station nearby or London.

I understand it makes sense to go to GG after, but I just wanted to make sure you were aware of everything before going. I'd be worse to have to call a taxi or car service from the Studio to pick you up and get charged a pretty penny for it.

-The £80 figure is what Golden charges over the cost of tickets.
-I've always found Uber to come it at the very bottom, if not lower, than their estimate.
-The Uber advantage is bigger if we decide on the Andaz.
-I've been checking Uber from the WB studio and it never seems to be more than a 5 minute wait. But in the worst case, the train/shuttle doesn't look too bad.
-The biggest advantage of Uber is going right to GG for dinner.
-The problem for Uber is what to do with 2 carseats? Do you think WB might have a place where we could leave them while we toured?

Another nice idea we did when downtown was take the Thames MBNAClipper water taxi (cheapest way to pay is with the Oystercard) which goes from near the Eye (both sides of the river) and all the way down to the o2
You haev nice views form the river and a peaceful ride
When you get to the o2 you can take the Emirates Airline (no you cant you miles, but can be put on the oystercard too) which is a cable car above the Thames ( a bit way out but nice views of canary wharf)  and then the tube back to Andaz/Bevis marks
Total trip probably 90 min

-The £80 figure is what Golden charges over the cost of tickets. Still not sure I get this. Link?
-I've always found Uber to come it at the very bottom, if not lower, than their estimate. Could be, but London traffic is horrendous. It was especially bad because we were there during a Tube strike, but fair point.
-The Uber advantage is bigger if we decide on the Andaz. You decided to stay there? True, it's a lot bigger of an advantage from the Andaz, since it's nowhere near Victoria Station
-I've been checking Uber from the WB studio and it never seems to be more than a 5 minute wait. But in the worst case, the train/shuttle doesn't look too bad. Hopefully that's indeed the case.
-The biggest advantage of Uber is going right to GG for dinner. +1
-The problem for Uber is what to do with 2 carseats? Do you think WB might have a place where we could leave them while we toured? They have a staffed coat room on the right after you walk in. Could be worth a call to see if they'll store your car seats, as schlepping them through would be a really pain.
We did the Golden tour and were quite happy with it. We also did the evening tour so it was only £50/person, making it cheaper than taking Uber, even had we been at the Andaz. I wouldn't call it a rip off.

With regard to car seats, don't know if you're comfortable with this, but the law in England is that children do not need car seats when travelling in minicabs or private hire vehicles.

I especially liked the station wagons that had 2 bench seats facing each other. More people fit (on a seat) in the back, but I agree about using car seats for safety.

1. Seems hard to beleive it could it be worth spending over an hour in transit for breakfast.
2. Romantic isn't really what I care about on a trip with 2 little kids.
3. Isn't that just corned beef? Haven't read much about Reuben's except that it's well located for tourists but very overpriced for mediocre food.

1. If you wake up starving for a full-on breakfast - you have a plan B
2. lol..
3. Dunno but bevis marks has a sorta pulled salt beef dish that was very good.

We ate at Reuben's when we were in London in 2013. I had such low expectations going in, that I was pleasantly surprised. The food wasn't great, but it was fine, and since it was a one day trip (23 hours, to avoid APD) I couldn't spend time going to GG. Having that option right there in town was great. Food wasn't near as expensive as 1701 was either, but everything in UK is expensive for us because of the exchange rate.
