-If you plan on using public transportation, get an Oyster card. They are much cheaper and easier to use than conventional travel cards, and never expire. They can be bought in many stores in London, or online. These days one can use contactless credit cards instead of Oyster.(Check here to see if your foreign contactless card will work.)

-Here is a handy planner for the public transport system.

-DD's Kosher Sandwiches can be bought in most major airports and stations and at some supermarkets around London.  Check here for a list of locations.

-Kosher in the West End/City -
Selfridges food hall has a variety of kosher groceries and prepackaged ready food by 1701.
Hermolis  also have a deli counter there.  The range includes schnitzels, spring rolls, kebabs, breaded lamb chops, chicken wings, fish products and salads. Traditional Shabbat dishes will be on sale on Thursdays and Fridays. Supervision is provided by the Kashrut Division London Beth Din
In the City Munch'n'Crunch have a stand in Hatton Garden with kosher meals, sandwiches, sushi and coffee. It is located at 32 Hatton Garden, on the lower-ground floor of Jewellery Emporium. There is also Mincha there at 1:30.

-Kosher food at non-kosher hotels, restaurants etc. can be ordered from the following kosher caterers in London. They provide double-wrapped meals to any location and could also match the menu of your location.

Minyanim - There are many shuls all over London, however there are a couple of places that have more constant Minyanim throughout the day.

Here is a list of addresses and zmanim for the above, and other places.

-Minyan in the West End could be found at the Marble Arch Synagogue. Shacharis during the week is followed by breakfast, and a kiddush on Shabbos.

-Most food products in general stores do not have a hechsher on them. This does not necessarily mean they are not kosher. For example, Coca-Cola does not have a hechsher, but it is kosher. Here is an online kosher product search that could help. Link to Android app.

How much can I expect uber to actually cost from heathrow to Stamford hills. The estimator says 42 gpd. Also Will a Jewish car service be cheaper than über? If so, do any of them take credit cards or is it just gpd?

I saw on Harrods website that browsing only hours are from 10-11:30. How strictly is that enforced?

I believe this is the one that Dan had planned on using on his infamous 24hr trip to nowhere. Not sure if it was cheaper than Uber or if he just wanted a driver that he would trust with delivering his luggage to hotel while he goes out with his family....

@eliraps - What made you believe that that was the company he was going to use?

Re Harrods browsing. They are limited to how many hours they can be open on Sundays so they add a half hour extra for "browsing" meaning that they can't ring anything up during that time. From their website it seems like this is only from 11:30am-12pm.

Be aware though that you'll most likely be charged the rates of the day the transaction posts as opposed to the day it was made.

Yes, but AFAIK the final transaction between Merchant and CC processor takes place the day it posts.

Yes. 1½ yrs ago. IIRC it happens at the same time. The horses come out of a different building/location around the corner from Buckingham Palace, we then followed the horses to Buckingham Palace where the regular Changing of the Guards takes place.
I don't remember what day it was or what time, but that was more or less the procedure.

Any ideas for using my Sprint serviced Samsung Note 5 in London? Get intl micro SIM? Keep Sprint service and pay for 7 day intl plan? Only going for 3 days.
