-If you plan on using public transportation, get an Oyster card. They are much cheaper and easier to use than conventional travel cards, and never expire. They can be bought in many stores in London, or online. These days one can use contactless credit cards instead of Oyster.(Check here to see if your foreign contactless card will work.)

-Here is a handy planner for the public transport system.

-DD's Kosher Sandwiches can be bought in most major airports and stations and at some supermarkets around London.  Check here for a list of locations.

-Kosher in the West End/City -
Selfridges food hall has a variety of kosher groceries and prepackaged ready food by 1701.
Hermolis  also have a deli counter there.  The range includes schnitzels, spring rolls, kebabs, breaded lamb chops, chicken wings, fish products and salads. Traditional Shabbat dishes will be on sale on Thursdays and Fridays. Supervision is provided by the Kashrut Division London Beth Din
In the City Munch'n'Crunch have a stand in Hatton Garden with kosher meals, sandwiches, sushi and coffee. It is located at 32 Hatton Garden, on the lower-ground floor of Jewellery Emporium. There is also Mincha there at 1:30.

-Kosher food at non-kosher hotels, restaurants etc. can be ordered from the following kosher caterers in London. They provide double-wrapped meals to any location and could also match the menu of your location.
Hermolis (KED/LBD)
Royal Cuisine (KED/LBD)

Zmanim - MyZmanim London

Minyanim - There are many shuls all over London, however there are a couple of places that have more constant Minyanim throughout the day.

Hagers (Beth Yisochor Dov Beth Hamedrash)
R' Chuna's (Beth Shmuel Synagogue)

Stamford Hill
Satmar 26 (Clapton Common)
Pinters
Biala Shul (47 Moundfield Rd, London N16 6DT, UK)
Here is a list of addresses and zmanim for the above, and other places.

-Minyan in the West End could be found at the Marble Arch Synagogue. Shacharis during the week is followed by breakfast, and a kiddush on Shabbos.

-Most food products in general stores do not have a hechsher on them. This does not necessarily mean they are not kosher. For example, Coca-Cola does not have a hechsher, but it is kosher. Here is an online kosher product search that could help. Link to Android app.

I am using public transportation.
IMO it is not worth the schlepp just for food. Should I walk around the city? If so, which sites do I hit?
Depends what you're interested in.

If I am understanding correctly I only have about 4 hours to spend....
I would like to see what is considered unique about London, preferably a landmark or two. I am not interested in clubbing (it's daytime anyways), showbiz, or art. Culture is nice however its too short of a time. I am thinking I would want to do sightseeing.

Parliament square, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye are all in the same area. You can see them all with one stop. Buckingham Palace is not too far either. You wont have time to see Tower of London or the British Museum or Library.

Arrive into LGW at 11 AM on March 30 and fly out of STN at 6PM same day. is there enough time to do anything? if so, what?
If you like expensive cars, go to the roads behind Harrods, where people go to show off their cars. It's just not particularly close to anything else.

Based on the wiki Rueben's is the only kosher joint in London City. Is that accurate?

I need some help in deciding which hotel to stay in during my 1 night stopover in London.  I am landing in LGW at 4pm and leaving LHR the next day at 3:15pm.  Is there any hotel that is not far from either airports and is also near kosher food?

Why not stay in central London? Else you can stay near a store selling DD sandwiches.

Wouldn't that be a bloody fortune and would not have access to kosher food?

There is nothing close to the airport with kosher food.

If food is important, your best bet is to stay at one of the Holiday Inns near Golders Green/Finchley, where you'll have plenty of options.

Thank you. I may do that. Any recommendation as to transportation from LGW to Golders Green for a family with luggage?

Your best bet would be a local car service or Heimishe driver, unless you're interested in schlepping on trains.

Uber was very affordable. Especially with 20% off from Capital One quicksilver.

Do you intend to tour the city? I'd think that staying in central London and eating DD sandwiches is a lot better for touring on a short stay. You'd be a lot closer to public transit to/from LGW/LHR, not to mention all the tourist sites. Staying in GG will only get you close to restaurants. Think of the time you'll spend getting from GG to central London and back before going back to the airport.
