-If you plan on using public transportation, get an Oyster card. They are much cheaper and easier to use than conventional travel cards, and never expire. They can be bought in many stores in London, or online. These days one can use contactless credit cards instead of Oyster.(Check here to see if your foreign contactless card will work.)

-Here is a handy planner for the public transport system.

-DD's Kosher Sandwiches can be bought in most major airports and stations and at some supermarkets around London.  Check here for a list of locations.

-Kosher in the West End/City -
Selfridges food hall has a variety of kosher groceries and prepackaged ready food by 1701.
Hermolis  also have a deli counter there.  The range includes schnitzels, spring rolls, kebabs, breaded lamb chops, chicken wings, fish products and salads. Traditional Shabbat dishes will be on sale on Thursdays and Fridays. Supervision is provided by the Kashrut Division London Beth Din
In the City Munch'n'Crunch have a stand in Hatton Garden with kosher meals, sandwiches, sushi and coffee. It is located at 32 Hatton Garden, on the lower-ground floor of Jewellery Emporium. There is also Mincha there at 1:30.

-Kosher food at non-kosher hotels, restaurants etc. can be ordered from the following kosher caterers in London. They provide double-wrapped meals to any location and could also match the menu of your location.

-Minyan in the West End could be found at the Marble Arch Synagogue. Shacharis during the week is followed by breakfast, and a kiddush on Shabbos.

-Most food products in general stores do not have a hechsher on them. This does not necessarily mean they are not kosher. For example, Coca-Cola does not have a hechsher, but it is kosher. Here is an online kosher product search that could help. Link to Android app.

Compared to the kosher restaurants in NW London it's very over-priced. I was there last week and they charged £2.95 for a can of Coke (think that's about $4!). They have a captive market and unfortunately they choose to exploit it.
Their rent is drastically higher I would assume over golders green
Lamb chops were 1/3 of the price in the USA.

It is but that's not the point. The food is poor (most of it is reheated by microwave), service unfriendly and prices very high. It wouldn't last 2 minutes in GG, Hendon, Edgware, Borehamwood.

But it is what it is - a good (only) option for tourists and local businessmen which survives solely on this point.

Have not been to 86 but La Fiesta was nice. It was cool how the served the food, they took charcoal from the grill and made a mini grill on your table.

Its a nice steak house but I would not say it is so high class. This coming from someone who has hardly been to  many steakhouses.
The reason why we went there was that we were staying a 2 minute walk from there and looking for a good nice place to eat. La Fiesta fit the bill. We were happy with their service as well.
Make sure you get a room in the back part unless you like everyone looking at you!

Not sure which restaurant this refers to but a few pages back people were saying Reubens is the best restaurant in London. They microwave their food FYI.

If you want really good food in Europe, it sounds like Paris or Rome are better options...
