-If you plan on using public transportation, get an Oyster card. They are much cheaper and easier to use than conventional travel cards, and never expire. They can be bought in many stores in London, or online. These days one can use contactless credit cards instead of Oyster.(Check here to see if your foreign contactless card will work.)

-Here is a handy planner for the public transport system.

-DD's Kosher Sandwiches can be bought in most major airports and stations and at some supermarkets around London.  Check here for a list of locations.

-Kosher in the West End/City -
Selfridges food hall has a variety of kosher groceries and prepackaged ready food by 1701.
Hermolis  also have a deli counter there.  The range includes schnitzels, spring rolls, kebabs, breaded lamb chops, chicken wings, fish products and salads. Traditional Shabbat dishes will be on sale on Thursdays and Fridays. Supervision is provided by the Kashrut Division London Beth Din
In the City Munch'n'Crunch have a stand in Hatton Garden with kosher meals, sandwiches, sushi and coffee. It is located at 32 Hatton Garden, on the lower-ground floor of Jewellery Emporium. There is also Mincha there at 1:30.

-Kosher food at non-kosher hotels, restaurants etc. can be ordered from the following kosher caterers in London. They provide double-wrapped meals to any location and could also match the menu of your location.

Zmanim - MyZmanim London

Minyanim - There are many shuls all over London, however there are a couple of places that have more constant Minyanim throughout the day.

Hagers (Beth Yisochor Dov Beth Hamedrash)
R' Chuna's (Beth Shmuel Synagogue)

Stamford Hill
Satmar 26 (Clapton Common)

Biala Shul (47 Moundfield Rd, London N16 6DT, UK)
Here is a list of addresses and zmanim for the above, and other places.

-Minyan in the West End could be found at the Marble Arch Synagogue. Shacharis during the week is followed by breakfast, and a kiddush on Shabbos.

-Most food products in general stores do not have a hechsher on them. This does not necessarily mean they are not kosher. For example, Coca-Cola does not have a hechsher, but it is kosher. Here is an online kosher product search that could help. Link to Android app.

Some compare it to OU and some vehemently disagree
I know a local involved in the kashrus scene. I dont think he would eat at any OU establishment, KLBD he does.
Are you sure you don't mean federation?

I think they are considered very knowledgeable in their field with all the mechanics and intricacies of Kashrus. On the other hand they don't claim to hold the same standards as some of the Chassidishe Hechsheirim. You can't assume it to be PY, CY, etc. I think they may have a non glatt line but I may be wrong.

How is KLBD compared to a mainstream USA hashgacha?
Tony Page @ Island Grill isn't certified Glatt, although there is a Mashgiach Temidi who told me all meats are glatt now (which wasn't the case upon opening).

I don't think any of the main London restaurants have a difference Hashgacha than KLBD, although most are certified glatt.

Does anyone have any ideas for a decent place for a family to stay in London? I am finding either crazy insane expensive, or complete dumps. There is nowhere near a shul that is decent and not crazy insanely expensive. Even airbnb is a fortune.

Ideally in the city near a shul. The prices are insane. In the Jewish areas the “hotels” look frumpy at best and the airbnbs are frumpier.

Either, for 6 people points is like 1.5 million points on bonvoy. Cash is not reasonable as well. Airbnb's are just not available. End of August

Marriott Maida Vale is a nice property. The area isn’t the greatest but it’s conveniently located about midway between GC and West End and there’s a shul a 5 min drive away.

Looking for a recommendation... just gonna be staying one night in June for a wedding in Golders Green / Hendon area.

The Pillar vs Croft Court Vs. Nox hotel?

My understanding is the Pillar is the nicest. But is it worth double the price?

Thanks

If it's for one night go to the Pillar. Never been at Nox, Croft is pretty nasty.
