Why not just buy the infant a seat with avios?
No more inventory to book another seat and cancel the former?
no

Sorry, but a ~10 hour flight is all I'm willing to risk for now.
We spent 2 shabbosim in the hotel in HI.  Such is life I suppose.
How about Beijing? Flight only about 11 hours and have stunning hotels and decent kosher food.

Another big reason against NRT in May is sefira.  Not gonna go the long way with a baby.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

If these were your two options in Business Class which would you take? obviously non stop is better but i dont mind  stop and if itll make a big diff bec of airline and plane type then ill do it. (dont worry about dates and times, im asking about the actual flights)

They're both angle flat. Take the direct.

I'd like some input on the three routing options I'm looking at.
Kinda urgent as its for this week

I need to arrive in MLE on Friday morning.

Itinerary #1 - flying time 23 hrs. Total duration 37.5 hr
55k AA + $217  or 67.5k aa +no additional
JFK-HKG on CX J
(1:50 hr layover)
HKG-BKK  on CX economy
(6 hr layover )
BKK-CMB on CX J
(7 hour night layover - hotel in airport.)
CMB-MLE on UL economy.

Itinerary #2 - flying time 28 hr, total duration 34.5 hr
Should be 67.5k
JFK-HKG on CX J
(4:30 hr layover)
HKG-DOH on CX J
(2:30 hr layover)
DOH-MLE on QR J

Itinerary #3 -  flying time 22.5 hr, total duration  26 hr
55k or 67.5k (I'm not sure)
JFK-HKG on CX J
(3.5 hr layover)
HKG-MLE on CX J

This option arrives Thursday night which means we'll need to take a hotel in the Male  area - not to excited about that because of recent situations.

Option 3.

Stay here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g298571-d3204127-Reviews-Hotel_Octave-Male.html
Have you stayed there?
I'm just a little nervous.. I dont mean to sound like rots :)
Do they pick you up and bring you back? This way I don't have to stumble down the wrong streets? (my beard can go two ways in that country)

If I'm doing this option I'm considering now doing EK F as I see it has opened and Alaskan is back up with 90k +$18 and I'd arrive 3pm.

The only issue doing it this way is if I don't tour male I'll be stuck in that hotel till the next day.
So if I wanted EK am I better off hanging out in dxb for the day or taking the EK F thru mxp (no suites) this way I'll arrive friday am

Have not stayed there, but it's very highly rated.

From you post, I can't make out what your EK options are.

But DXB > MLE.

But DXB > MLE.
The EK options are 11am out of jfk in suites and either go directly to mle which means I get there 3pm the day before my preferred arrival
Or spend the day in dxb and get to mle Friday AM

Or take the 10pm EK flight F thru mxp and get to mle Friday AM

if you can get in a 3pm why not spend an extra day in the resort?

Extra 600 bucks or so.
On top of the 4 nights I'm already staying...

IF you don't wanna fork over the additional cash for another day in MLE, take EK F on A380 to DXB, spend day in DXB, and then go to MLE. (Is second leg also in F?)

if you can get in a 3pm why not spend an extra day in the resort?

Cost, I assume.
