help - i was late on a $20 cc payment!

I forgot to pay! i payed within 3 days after the due date.
i never missed a payment in 7 years. What can i do to not lose on my credit score? How bad will it be?

usually it doesn't affect your CR only when it goes in to default, but if your worried I would say give a call your cc company if its amex then call the amex credit beuoro unit, they're usually accommodating

If it is the first payment you missed in 7 years, I think you will have a very easy time when you call and explain.
You can also ask for a refund of the late fee (Which you didn't mention but I assume you got charged)

exactly.         in terms of the late fee you can call them and they're usually happy to waive it.

I had same thing except in was 2K.
Called chase and they refunded interest.
Emailed them and they refunded late fee.
Was caught within 3 days so no bad mark on CR

Don't forget to ask them to waive the late fee, waive the interest, and suppress the interest charge on the next statement that will appear because you were late last time.

This is good news that they don't report right away till 29 days because I always OCD that I didn't pay just in case so not to destroy my credit, but if all it is is interest nu nu.
