A drop OT, but the Sheraton Newark airport which had a great cash and points redemption is leaving Starwoods altogether. Shame, was good use for me.

Much more moving up than down, but at least the categories remain as is.
Great PR timing for them, coming a day after HH. Especially seeing as they had said they would announce these changes on March 1. Probably sped them up to look better in comparison.

(And can s/o please fix the title of this thread? It bugs me.)

I don't think there is any hotel that gets more complaints to Starwood CS than LM Dead Sea (even more than 4 points Miami Beach) so they would have a hard time convincing them for a category upgrade. Although it's still a great value as a category 1!!!

True, but how many hotels are there out there that has practically every available "points redemption room", get booked
throughout the year...

To sum things up 215 hotels went up while only 50 went down!!!!

A few that interested me:
Sheraton Parsippany, Sheraton and Aloft Brooklyn, SLS Beverly Hills, Four Points Niagara Falls and Danieli in Venice went up.
Westin Aruba went down.
Manhattan hotels stayed the same.

If I change dates after the category change goes into effect any shot I can pay the same amount? Booking a lot of hotels now due to category and new amount for C and P but hard to factor in all the possibilities.
