Passing by Kingston between Union and Eastern Parkway today I noticed more cars than usual parked. It was only some of the "tanks" that regularly hog the spots that were absent, it was Ess & Bentch's fine avoidance "outdoor dining" shelter that was gone! What happened?

It's been gone for a few weeks already.
It definitely wasn't getting any use, and was simply gross and a waste of space.
Prime ave just uses theirs for delivery bike parking.
Anyone with indoor seating isn't really using them in ch

I don't think a few weeks is correct. But I might be wrong.

In any event, the main use of these is to avoid being fined by inspectors for covid-19 rule non-compliance (Mermelstein's didn't put one up until after Sukkos).

yes. i noticed some WIC stickers at the fruits/vegetables, and the manager told me that they would publicize when it starts

Since WIC became an electronic system, I believe it's much less of a headache for the grocers (and shtick are mostly gone)

I'm terrified when I see people flying at 30 mph with nary a helmet in sight, zig zagging through pedestrian and vehicle traffic with complete reckless abandon. Scary stuff

Same is happening in Lakewood. It's horrible and I don't let my kids use them (it helps that my older kids are girls).

Ah, I stand corrected. Though I got the number from someone who rides one and was speaking proudly about the speeds he goes. He also lets his kids fly around on them. I don't get it.

Groceries: There’s Klein’s, Kahan’s, Gourmet Butcher, Albany Bake shop, and probably others I’m not considering.

Places that sell pizza (they aren’t all classic pizza shops) are Basil, Wholesome Bagel, Mozzarella, Benny’s Brick Oven (apparently now known as Crown), and Sauce n’ Cheese.

I think Gourmet Butcher closed about a year ago.
