This whole idea doesn’t sit well with me, not just w/r/t speed. Custom roms on a vehicle just sounds like a risky proposition.

I heard a rumour that EK will be accepting wic. Is that true?

I think that is awful to make embarrass people with separate checkout lines for wic.

When you checkout you should scan them separately so you make sure your WIC items where actually covered by WIC (correct milk, correct eggs etc), not seperate lines

These days, I don't think anyone is embarrassed.
Living expenses are high, food prices going up, rent not going down (especially for those in the middle class). With wic, foodstamps, and chama handouts - I think people do understand.

Perhaps I'm wrong. But I'll admit I fall into that category.

You misunderstood. He's worried that people might be embarrassed that they're not paying with govt money.

I actually think they should make them see a separate checkout lane. It is so annoying when instead of going behind the guy with the overflowing cart you go behind the guy with some milk cereal and baby jars only for each item to require its own checkout and then it takes much longer for his 6 items than for the whole overflowing cart.

Whenever I'm at the supermarket and the lanes are all occupied I don't just check how much needs to be checked out, I also see who the cashier and the customer(s) are and choose a lane accordingly. Though that relates to more than just WIC.

    Pet peeve of mine

I have a similar pet peeve where I wish takeout/eatery places had a separate line for people who know what they want (sometimes resolved by starting an order online from inside the establishment while waiting on line, so you can submit if noone is available to take your order).

That was not my experience. I advised the cashier that I have wic items, scanned my wix card and after scanning all the item the monitor had a option for payment with e-wic and the rest for regular CC

Not a contradiction at all. I repeated what I heard from a manager that "they are asking" and you said what actually happened with you.

Kliens is going to to lose business from EK taking wic specifically for the vegetables.
