I don't know why, but I'm breaking my rule and responding to you.
Is he going to sponsor legislation to revoke the bail reform, is he going to sponsor legislation to get board of regents out of our yeshivas? The list goes on and on
Or should I vote for him so the "askunim" can take their pic with a winner?
What good is voting for him if he's not going to get things done that the community needs
You say this, and follow it up with
When one of the "askunim" didn't vote for trump (his words), I think I can tell if he really cares about our community needs.
Let's see by the governor race what these "askunim" say.
I mean, if that doesn't display forward-thinking pragmatism, I don't know what does.
You like to sit with your internet beitzim crusading against "askanim" - who appointed them? No one. Baveiz a chachma, become an askan! Don't just hack about Regents and bail online, publicly endorse the candidates who WILL enact all these policies you want! Heck, run for office! Genug with the mud-slinging without alternatives. Put out an op-ed that shows a clear-headed political agenda. Tell me who YOU would vote for today, and WHY. Trust me, the sites will be only too happy to have an argument on their pages.
When the issue of chinuch comes up, Cunningham will have the words of these askanim ringing in his ears, and the knowledge that he wants (or NEEDS) us to vote for him again next time. Will it be enough? I can't say. But it will certainly be worth more than any bloviating about askanim done here.
