Is the Jewish Children's Museum still nice?  We were there several years ago and enjoyed it....maybe time for another visit (with a Basil stop afterward).

I think they just finished a Voyage Through Jewish History exhibit, but I'm not sure it's opened to the public yet, as the grand opening ceremony is on April 1st.

Another great stop in CH is the Chabad Library Exhibition. Some really old cool seforim there (not just Chabad) The library itself holds some 250,000 books.

I think too many CH'rs overlook this place.

I had the seared tuna at Basil tonight, it was really good. Not sure it was worth the $36 (when you add sides, drinks, dessert, tax and tip it's like double that), but then again I'm not a foodie.

I loved the look on the waitress' face when I asked if they get fresh fish on Sunday, eventually she said she doesn't know but she could go check if I'd like, which I declined.

Not possible. The fish market is closed Sundays.
But that doesn't mean it's not 'fresh'. They could keep it in a semi frozen state from when they get it on Thursday or Friday. I don't think meat is any fresher then fish in this regard.

Agreed, probably risky to order it like that on certain days.

Not at all! Best sushi hands down was at Empire Kosher, still competes big time with the new sushi place.
      +1

Keep in mind that many of the restaurants and sushi places get a big part of their fish as frozen on a regular basis (like tuna and tilapia). The stores defrost them (or refresh them ;)) as needed. So on the one hand, eating fish on Sunday may not be as bad as you think, since the store could have just defrosted it a few hours ago. On the other hand, just because you're eating fish on Wednesday does not necessarily mean the fish is fresh and caught recently.

But just so you can keep it handy, here are the hours and holidays of the new Fulton fish market:
      http://www.newfultonfishmarket.com/hours.html
      http://www.huntspoint.com/Fulton_Fish_Market.htm/
Now when looking at the holiday calender, notice that on some Mondays, your fish may actually have been older then Sundays...

AFAIK fish that isn't fresh tends to be risker than meat that is as old.
