Surprised almah isn’t get more love on here, it isn’t so much a restaurant as a cafe. Real creative vibe and the menu fluctuates all the time but everything I’ve eaten is out of this world level baking like I’ve never tasted. Sambusak, Moroccan cheese roll, croissant etc. Jaffa breakfast also really great although not as unique. Definitely more authentic then patis

Depending on where you’re at Bakerie and Gruit are quite walkable.

Anyone been to Josephs dream burger yet, and how is it?

Might be clever, but nothing exists in a vacuum. My office is above a restaurant (sort of) and I know what that means. Some of the major issues I've had in the past have been mostly addressed, and the place isn't high traffic. If the interior design calls for bare walls to the brick with no insulation that's a lot worse. Vapor barriers and sound insulation are a must!

This evening my block smells like burgers. I feel for the immediate neighbors if their concerns weren't addressed (AFAIK there was a restraining order from a BD which was ignored).

The shooting was right outside the (temporary) location of my son's yeshiva. He said there was a staff member and some bochurim on the scene when it happened. Was right after seder.

Anyone been to Josephs dream burger yet, and how is it?

I ordered out several days ago.
Imo, nothing special. It's a canteen with a storefront that has great seating and good hours.

Prices are decent, food is good when it's hot, and has a good selection of sauces.

The Joseph's fries are pretty good. But once the burgers became too cold they were relatively unedible.

Personally if I'm going to go for a burger in CH it's probably bouf n bun.

I recall their apps being good and their burgers being mediocre. Has that changed?
