I guess I don't know that many Aussies
I would not feel comfortable sitting on this chair in the same position that I normally sit, (maybe they want everybody to sit up strait?) but for somebody that's very heavy I can't imagine that they'll be comfortable in any position.
Besides that they look like were designed for a greyhound station.

ETA. it's not that much of a big deal though.

I went with a few friends last night and had a really good time. Popcorn was a nice touch. I was a little dissapointed that it wasn't seasoned in a fun bbq-style way. It was just lightly salted. We split all the appetizers and really enjoyed all of them. The wings were phenominal, fries were great and seasoned well. I actually really enjoyed the fried pickles. They are half-sour which I think make them go really well with the batter and dip. Tacos were really good with a nice subtle heat at the end. Onion rings were ok, nothing special.

I ordered the morning scramble and really, really, enjoyed it. The horseradish mayo on top was excellent. Like tankchucker, I popped the yolk and spread it around and it really blended well with the sauce. I was initially scared of the potato sticks but they added a really satisfying crunch. I tasted from my friend's pulled beef sandwich which I thought was really good too.
We tried both desserts (deconstructed peanutbutter smores and deep-fried oreos) and thought both were really good too.

The only thing I was dissapointed about was that they don't have a liquor license yet. I could have used a good beer to wash it all down.

I schmoozed with the owner a little as I was waiting to pickup a dessert to bring home. He mentioned that the menu will be expanding and I'm looking really forward to that (I would go back even if they didn't :) )

Overall extremely satisfied and would definitely go back.

Nice How was the Down South?

It's slow-cooked pulled beef. Very good. If you're expecting a smoked brisket flavor you won't get it though.

Had some Boeuf and Bun in Crown Heights a few nights ago and it was delicious. Went on Thursday night and it was PACKED.

Place is super cool inside, nice tables, and had fantastic music playing, rare for a kosher restaurant.

Menu is small which I liked. Not sure if this is what they will continue with or because they are so new. we had the NY Burger, Down South burger, and the breakfast burger. For apps we ha the fried pickles (amazing) onion rings (amazing) and fries (really good:) ) ; The burgers all come with different sauces and there was a horseradish that was fantastic.

Dessert was a peanut butter type of cake (I think) in a mason jar. Was quite good and tasted fresh. They had sold out of their other options.

Prices were average for an upscale burger (I think about $16 per burger) and I really enjoyed. I liked better than Amsterdam burger.

Forgot I wanted to mention this in my review, the music really was tasteful but at one point the tune sounded familiar and I realized they were playing "Let it go" from Frozen, I looked up and saw the look of horror on all the dads' faces replaced by a lok of recognition when they saw everyone else was thinking the same thing ;D

According to the waitress they have 2 CDs: one plays musical versions of contemporary music and the other (which was playing when I was there) is KennyG. I like KennyG but thought it was a little weird. It didn't fit the theme of the restaurant.

Not that I'm against this restaurant (I'm going to go there myself), but it shows how low the chk standards have gone since they have new competition, back in the day they made Kingston pizza close at 9 instead of 11pm because they were scared of it becoming a hangout, Now they certify a hangout with waitresses goyshe music and beer... My problem isn't the beer music and waitresses but rather it's a bais din not holding by their own standards.

There is a very big difference between a pizza shop and a classy restaurant...

There is a very big difference between a pizza shop and a classy restaurant...
My point is that they used to have standards for the restaurants, not just the food.

Braun has standards that restaurants need to comply with to have their food certified, he changed the seating and music in chocolatte when he gave them a hechsher.

The problem is that the rabonim aren't getting their paychecks and the only income they have is fundraising for themselves and hashgacha, (from what I've heard)
