I went yesterday.
They're definitely still figuring things out, they have quite a ways to go as far as getting things running smoothly and efficiently.
That being said, I think it's still worth it
Here's the menu:
We ordered a pulled beef sandwich, wings, beef dinosaur ribs, beef taco, chicken taco (not on the menu but listed as a "special",) brisket & beans and smoked brisket.
We got the ribs and the brisket very quickly (my phone's camera is absolutely horrible so the pictures are kinda shvach and don't do the food justice.)
obviously this picture is already after the meat was cut off the bone...
The rib was absolutely phenomenal.
The brisket was also phenomenal, though not quite as good as the ribs.
As I said earlier, things are not very smooth and efficient there yet, so we had already totally polished off the ribs and brisket and still had to wait a good 15 minutes at least for the rest of the order.
Eventually we did get the rest. (no more pictures)
wings were phenomenal, though I personally would've preferred the slightly less sweet.
Chicken tacos in my opinion were just meh, though from what I've seen upthread others disagree...
pulled beef was excellent
I'm not a big fan of beans in general, but the flavor of these was great.
I ended up ordering some stuff to go ("for my BIL who was babysitting"
) I got another rib, smoked brisket and smoked turkey.
The rib was phenomenal once again.
The turkey was ok, nothing special. needed some more flavor IMO.
The brisket this time was a bit of a disappointment for me, but I think this is a matter of personal preference. It was flavored and cooked perfectly once again, but the cut I got this time was way too fatty for my taste. I'm sure some people like it better this way and wouldn't like the cut I had earlier as much, but for me it just didn't do it. Lesson learned for the future, make sure I get a piece that's not too fatty.
Bottom line, the food is great but they need to figure out a way to get things running more smoothly and efficiently.
